Soccer Skills - room 5
On Wednesday Room 5 had lots of fun participating in a special soccer programme. Our coach was Reid, and he taught us how to dribble the soccer balls. We had to put the ball between our feet and jump like kangaroos. The hardest one was the camel because we had to try and balance the ball on the back of our necks and walk around. The most fun part was playing Shark Attack!

Welcome to Room 5’s blog. This is a great place for us to
share what we have been up to in the classroom. We aim to update weekly with
blogs, pictures, examples of children’s work and other bits and bobs that may
be of interest to you.
Swimming
We have been walking to the Parnell Pools, with the help of
some wonderful parents, and learning all about Water Safety.
Here is us at the pool, just about to hop in:
We have our last swimming session on Thursday 27th
February, leaving school at about 10.45.

Welcome to Room 5
Ours is a special classroom, we have all come from other classes to make one new fabulous class - Room 5. Ms Huke is our teacher, she has just returned from maternity leave to come back to work at Parnell District School and she is really pleased to be with us. On Fridays Ms Huke stays at home with her little boy, Joe, and Ms Marra teaches us instead.
So far this year we have been learning about treasuring ourselves, our family and our community around us. This term we will be looking at treasuring the wider world, and in particular our oceans. We have begun by learning about the Water Cycle, please ask us about this at home, I bet we can try to explain it to you.
